More Excitement About Paper

If you've followed this blog from the start you will recall my excitement when Paul, our architect, gave me the large pieces of paper that were our plans. Well, today I'm just as excited by sheafs of A4 printed documents - this time from a building society. We finally have our mortgage offer!

OK they were dated the 25 November, posted on the 29th and it's the 5 December today (support the postal workers!) so there has been a delay but we've got them and we'll sign, scan, email, fasten them to a pigeon and post them so they get through quickly...that'l be 2025, then!

It still leaves the snail-like pace of the solicitor to get anywhere near some brass but at least it's on its way.

We also secured funding to pay our long endebted builder, Russ. First invoice will be cleared this week.

On another note it's about to get very cold this week so I've been up to site to check the lagging on the exposed water pipes. I came back covered in mud! Who'd be a builder, especially in this weather?
